In 2024, starting OTR prices for new Tesla 3 vehicles ranged from £39,990 for Standard Range, rear-wheel drive car up £49,990 for a Long Range, all-wheel drive up to £59,990 for a Performance, all-wheel drive car.

What price are new Tesla 3 vehicles actually selling for in the UK? Across different variants, NimbleFins analysis of brand new cars for sale in summer 2024 found that the average price for a brand new Tesla 3 was £47,472. These figures reflects the average of 90 brand new vehicles for sale across the five trim levels and four engine types.
Cost of a used Tesla 3
As with all vehicles, a used Tesla 3 declines in value over time. NimbleFins analysis of over 100 Tesla 3 vehicles in the used car market indicates that cars lose around £8,800 on average if they are resold sometime in their first 6 months or so during their first registration year, representing a loss in value of around 19%. The next year, cars lost a similar percentage (18% or £6,900) and a bit less in their third year (13% or £4,100).

Tesla 3 Insurance Costs
NimbleFins tested hundreds of cheap car insurance quotes and found that a low-risk driver would pay around £1,000 a year or so to insure a Tesla 3, and that premiums for a Long Range Tesla 3 were around 20% higher than a Standard Range car. This is largely because a more expensive vehicle would cost more to replace in the event of theft or write off—resulting in higher premiums.
